Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Nyɛga is designed to keep your financial records on your device. This policy explains what the app stores, what optional services can access, and the choices available to you.
1. Data stored on your device
Nyɛga stores your name, PIN, preferences, accounts, categories, transactions, budgets, subscriptions, and notification settings on your device. Financial records are stored in the app's local database and are not sent to a Nyɛga server.
2. Optional Gmail import
If you connect Gmail, Nyɛga uses read-only access to look for transaction-related emails and help import records. The Gmail refresh token is stored securely on your device. Parsed transaction fields are stored locally; raw email bodies are not kept as financial records.
3. Security
Your local PIN is stored in the device secure store. Face ID or Touch ID is handled by the operating system and is used only to unlock the app. Nyɛga does not receive or store biometric data.
4. Notifications and exports
If you enable renewal reminders, Nyɛga schedules local notifications on your device. CSV exports and sharing happen only when you choose them, and you control where an exported file goes.
5. Your choices
You can disconnect Gmail, turn off notifications or biometrics, remove individual records, or use Delete account in Settings. Delete account clears the local database, PIN, preferences, Gmail token, and scheduled notifications. This action cannot be undone.
6. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as Nyɛga develops. If you have a privacy question or need help understanding your data, contact us at samuelagbenyo067@gmail.com.
