What it is
- Nyɛga is a calm personal finance companion for people who want a clearer picture of their money without turning budgeting into a performance. Track income and spending, organise accounts and categories, and set monthly limits in one focused place.
Core loop
- Add a transaction in seconds, see where the month is going, and return to the overview when you need a grounded answer. Budgets, upcoming subscriptions, renewal reminders, and CSV export keep the practical parts close at hand.
Privacy by design
- Transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, and subscriptions are stored locally on the device. The app has no ads and does not sell financial data. Optional Gmail import uses read-only access to help find transaction-related messages; imported records remain local.
Security
- Access is protected by a local PIN with optional Face ID or Touch ID. You can delete your local account from Settings, which clears the app database, credentials, preferences, and connected Gmail token before returning to onboarding.
Stack
- Expo SDK 57, React Native, Expo Router, Expo SQLite, SecureStore, local notifications, and a native-feeling interface designed around small, deliberate actions.
Status
- In active development. The current build covers onboarding, PIN and biometric protection, accounts, categories, transactions, budgets, subscriptions, reminders, CSV export, and local account deletion.
